All downloadable content on this site is available as Zip or Rar files only.
Four major groups
- Free extensions: Opensource modules and templates, listed under Extensions.
- Commercial extensions: Licensed modules and templates, listed under Extensions.
- Releases: NivoCart shopping cart released versions, listed under Downloads.
- Patches: NivoCart patches, listed under Support > Patches.
Free and Opensource files
Free (Opensource) files do not require you to register as a member.
These files are directly accessible from our server simply by clicking on the "Download" button.
In order to be able to download a commercial file, the following actions are required:
- First: You must register a member's account.
- Second: You can then select a "product" and go through the checkout process, until the order is complete.
- Third: Your download will then be available from your member's account.
Note: Purchased files licenses will be added to your Member's history for future reference.
Compressed file formats
All the files are compressed in a "zip" or "rar" format for better portability.
The compressed files (archives) need to be de-compressed before being useable.
For PC users:
You can UNZIP the archive using ‘PeaZip’ (see link below)
For Mac users:
You can UNZIP the archive using ‘The unarchiver’ (see link below)

Installing Digital Downloads
The installation method is pretty much the same for most extensions.
All the installable files are located inside the "upload" folder, in the same arborescence than your NivoCart setup.
All you need to do is to transfer the content of the "upload" folder on your server.
To do so, you will require an "ftp program" and your server's ftp account and password to configure it.
Select the file's "upload" folder from your unzipped downloaded copy (Source).
Select the corresponding "upload" folder on your server (Destination).
Once this is done, just press "transfer"!
Go to your NivoCart Administration, Check the permissions, Install the new extension, configure, and save !
Refresh your website (Ctrl - F5) and you are done !
A "readme.txt" file should be included with all downloadable add-ons for more specific instructions. Please read it !
All files should have English as the default language. Setting-up other languages may require some file editing.
Malicious codes, trojans and viruses
The great majority of digital download files published in the Marketplace have been checked and are 100% safe.
However, the Marketplace being open to anyone means that we could potentially be attacked in some ways.
We obviously will do our outmost to prevent such things from happening, but for this reason we cannot guarantee that every single file contained within the archives are clean.
Therefore we strongly advise users to scan digital downloads using their antivirus software before de-compressing them on their hard drives.
