Understanding Page Content

SCOPE: Catalog.

The NivoCart Catalog has up to 8 display sections, inside 3 main blocks, for each page.

1 - Header: This is the top of the page, the Html "HEAD", it is common to all pages (Html documents), and it is required.
2 - Content: This is the center of the page, part of the Html "BODY". The Content can have many sub-sections, NivoCart has 6 sub-sections.
3 - Footer: This is the bottom of the page, also part of the Html "BODY". It is common to all pages.

NivoCart divides the Content in 6 sub-sections, which are:
  • Content Higher
  • Content High
  • Content Left
  • Content Low
  • Content Lower
  • Content Right

content positions

These 6 positions allows NivoCart to display almost anything. The "Content Higher" position is very useful for menus and banners.
Note 1: It is important to point out that the breadcrumbs will be displayed below the "Content Higher" position.
Note 2: The page main content will always be between "Content High" and "Content Low".

Content Positions are essentially for displaying modules.
Most modules have a "Position" setting. This way they can be positionned in a specific position on the page.
This also allows to display a module in a different position on another page (Layout) if needed, which can be useful.
All modules have a "Layout" setting. (See Layouts for more details)

All positions are responsive. The "Content Left" and "Content Right" have a maximum width of 300 pixels which means that they will display perfectly on mobile phone screens at 320 pixels. When resizing on small screens, positions will automatically stack in the following order: <Header>, Higher, Left, High, <Content>, Low, Right, Lower, <Footer>
